Image Source: Motorola Solutions via EETimes Asia Motorola is reportedly joining forces with US company Neurala to make its body cameras smart enough to detect suspicious or lost people and things automatically. This is said to be possible through the latter company’s AI solutions. Neurala will be using its lifelong deep neural network technology on Motorola’s body cameras, particularly the Si500 model, to give them the capability to learn in real time and remember accurately. This security equipment upgrade is said to work fine even when recording in congested places. A sample image footage from Motorola shows that the AI cameras will be able to tag multiple persons in a single frame. This breakthrough in body cameras proves that AI is becoming more significant in security monitoring. In surveillance cameras, the technology also gave rise to models, such as Hikvision’s cameras integrating Movidius’ AI chips, which can distinguish a r...
