Creed Bratton on ‘The Office’ Finale: All Tied Up ‘With a Big, Mushy Bow’

Subscribe to the all-new Rolling Stone! Everything you need to know from the authority on music, entertainment, politics and pop culture. Few people have had a more bizarre career in the entertainment business than Creed Bratton. He broke big in 1967 as a member of the folk rock band the Grass Roots, playing guitar on huge hits like “Let’s Live for Today.” He quit the group two years later, and his career and life went into free-fall. By the Nineties he was supporting himself by taking catering gigs on the sets of B-movies. Everything changed in 2005 when he landed a supporting role on the American version of The Office, playing a mysterious, wildly immoral weirdo also named Creed Bratton. He never gave up on music, and this month he’s releasing Tell Me About It, a three-part “audio biography” about his crazy life of ups and downs. We sat down with Creed to talk about his music, his favorite memories from The Office and saying goodbye to the show that changed his life. What was it like shooting the last episode of The Office? We’d been working Saturdays and Sundays for two weeks to get this finale done. It was an epic shoot. We shot so much stuff. At 9 p.m. the wrap party already...

Charging Your Tesla Model 3 With Just A Wall Outlet

When purchasing an electric vehicle, the biggest worry for approximately 99% of the would-be owner base is range. Right? Or maybe it’s some charging concern. Like charging at home perhaps? We all live in different areas with different supercharging and/or public charging options available. To most, the readily available power source in your garage warrants the question: can you drive your Tesla Model 3 with charging from just your wall outlet? The short answer is yes. But there’s more to it. With different usages and commutes undertaken by owners each day, we’ll be concentrating on the median value that represents most Model 3 owners. Let’s say your daily commute is some 50 miles (80 kilometers). This represents a value of a distance from Long Beach to Downtown LA, Yonkers to Brooklyn, or for example, Starnberg to Munich. All of these represent routes that are easily trekked every day, they represent a healthy commute distance for upper-mid-level house incomes and a stable daily commute that doesn’t change in mileage or road gradient in any significant way. To most, this will be the maximum daily commute they undertake, while many will not travel ne...

1957 Ford Fairlane Is Ford As Far As The Eye Can See

We know, advertisements are annoying and slow down the internet. Unfortunately, this is how we pay the bills and our authors. We would love for you to enjoy our content, we’ve worked hard on providing it. Please whitelist our site in your adblocker, refresh the page, and enjoy! We know that Ford purists hate to see a Ford that is restomoded up to look good only to find out it has non-Ford power under the hood. This 1957 Ford Fairlane is a car for the purists. It’s not stock and has several modifications, but all of those modifications use Ford parts. Take under the hood as an example. The 1957 Ford Fairlane has a 4.6-liter V8 engine that was originally under the hood of an SVT Cobra Mustang. That 32-valve engine has a BBK intake and is paired up with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The engine bay where the SVT V8 lives is clean and has the same black and red paint scheme that the body of the gorgeous car has. Acrylic Door Handle The Cobra engine looks right at home between the fenders of the Ford Fairlane. The car looks fantastic thanks to a Fatman front suspension with RideTech shocks. The rear is a 9-inch Ford, and the restomod ditched the leaf springs and went wi...

Harnessing the power of the sun to charge up gadgets is one of my favorite tech hacks. After all, living in Florida, where the sun is actively trying to broil me 10 months out of the year, I feel like I should be able to yoke some of that raw potential.  Luckily, I’m not the only one that feels that way. If you want to take advantage of the Day Star to keep your tech going on the go, look no further than this list of the best solar-powered chargers.  One important note: Some of these power banks require you to purchase a solar panel separately from the battery, and I’m mostly okay with that. Solar panels generate heat. A lot of heat. Putting them on top of high-capacity batteries is what they call in the tech industry a “bad idea.” Goal Zero makes the most reliable, most versatile, power products on the market today. I’ve used their generators and solar panels for years and h...

Custom Cattle Ear Tags, RFID Animal Tags, RFID Dog Tags and RFID Cow Tags Manufacturer

The earliest Livestock ear tags were developed in 1799 in England under the direction of Sir Joseph Banks, President of the Royal Society. The purpose was the identification of Merino sheep in the flock established for King George III. The first tags were made of tin. The use of cattle ear tags came into vogue with the outbreak of BSE in the UK in the early 20th century. This was mainly used to identify sick cattle so as to cordon them off. Today, ear tags in a variety of designs are used throughout the world on many species of animal to ensure traceability, and to control disease outbreaks. A custom cattle ear tag is a plastic or metal object used for identification of domestic livestock and other animals. When this tag uses Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) technology, it is referred to as an electronic ear tag. This ear tag usually carries an Animal Identification Number (AIN) or code for the animal, or for its herd or flock. A custom cattle ear tag may also exhibit other important information including other related identification numbers; such as the Property Identification Code (PIC) for the properties the animals have been located. During travel and shifting of ...

5 Payment Processing Trends Businesses Need to Know

Payment processing is an evolving industry. Both web-based businesses and brick-and-mortar storefronts have their work cut out for them. Keep up with current trends or lose relevance — and revenue. Not long ago, cash-only businesses were still surprisingly common, especially in the case of mobile operations. But cash is no longer king. Already, most customers expect to be able to pay with a credit card, too. And the focus is shifting to include additional digital options. From electronic wallets to artificial intelligence, let’s take a look at five of the biggest trends changing the landscape of payment processing. First, let’s be clear about one thing. Cash may not reign any more, but it isn’t going away, either. Neither are credit cards. Digital payment options are on the rise in some big ways. Eighty-one percent of Americans own a smartphone. That means four out of five potential customers have the option to pay without cash or a physical card if that’s their preference. We’re not there yet, but the day is coming when customers will grow increasingly selective. If you don’t offer the most popular payment options, you’ll be left behind. And the best way to outpace your competi...
